Let’s check it out in detail:

How does PlayAblo automatically send notifications to learners?

In the PlayAblo UCM, under the ‘corporate settings’ tab, the admin gets an option to activate the notifications – via email, push, or in-app.

But what are these 3 types of notifications?

Email notifications: An email notification is an eMail message sent to our users, informing them of changes or updates to a training course.

In-app notifications: In-app notifications display only while the PlayAblo app is open and are commonly used to lead users to points of interest to increase app usage, retention, and lifetime value.

Push notifications: Messages are delivered to a user’s phone screen via PlayAblo’s mobile app. Users must have downloaded their mobile app and opted into notifications before viewing these texts.

The LMS administrator has the choice to activate all three types on PlayAblo: one, two, or none at all, depending on the requirements.

The in-app notifications appear in the upper right corner of the learner’s screen, as shown below.

Significant instances when learners receive notifications:

Some of the instances when an employee will receive notifications are when courses are created when users are assigned:

Scenario

In-app Notification

Push Notification

Email Notification

User creation

X

X

✓

Course assignment

✓

✓

✓

Course nearing expiry

X

X

✓

Invite for virtual/offline classroom training

✓

✓

X

Note:

Course nearing expiry: PlayAblo sends a reminder notification when a course is nearing expiry in an email notification.
